Emergent Game Technologies announced today that it's teaming up with AiLive to incorporate the LiveMove 2 technology into its Gamebryo LightSpeed middleware. This will give development studios looking to build motion games quickly and efficiently "the extended benefits of LightSpeed’s rapid prototyping and rapid iteration powers for development of motion controlled games that utilize the soon-to-be-released PlayStation Move, Nintendo's Wii Remote and the AiLive co-designed Wii MotionPlus attachment."
Building for LiveMove 2 is as simple as providing motion examples. LiveMove 2's machine learning technology can apparently track and recognize any kind of human motion, and therefore no complex coding is required for development. "With LiveMove 2, developers can now prototype motion controls in minutes without coding," said Ron Musick, Vice President of Engineering at AiLive. "The LightSpeed integration adds a lightning-fast rapid iteration workflow on both PlayStation3 and Wii. Motion controls can be immediately tested, modified and perfected without needing to restart the game. Developers get a fast prototyping solution right out of the box."

The only real downside to not having blu-ray or hd-dvd is that some games will have to be on multiple disc. But I didn't complain about that during the PS1 days so I won't complain about it now. convert email to fax

Amazing, but late. The big flood of third party Sony developers to the Xbox360 has already happened. Xbox360 users will love Rachet, and Clank. The developer will get more money and therefor more funds for other projects for both systems. It is a win-win situation (except for pushing PS3 console sales). online fax

I agree with everything said... streaming HD movies is a fantastic feature of xbox live. But I gotta say, the selection of movies it completely rubbish. I could count on one hand the number of must-see movies available (at least ones I haven't seen a hundred times before). online fax
