Peter Molyneux: 'Milo is a Character in a Bigger and More Dramatic Story'

Posted February 24, 2010 by David Radd

The Milo demo for Natal shown during E3 2009 was one of the most talked about moments of the expo. Still, many doubted that the events shown in the video could add up to a full game experience, but Peter Molyneux isn't writing Milo off.

“I was very, very tight about what was actually being said about Milo and not being said about Milo. I think it did its job,” said Molyneux when asked about the E3 demo by IncGamers [thanks MCV]. “It made people look around and say ‘How could you make a game out of a character like Milo?’ And I think that question is still out there; I'm just not allowed to answer it.”

“I might hint... Milo is a character in a bigger and more dramatic story that we're telling,” he noted.

The Milo video was many things, but it's hard to imagine it “in a bigger and more dramatic story”... but weirder things have happened, we suppose.

Well, from what I've read, Milo has the capability of detecting your emotions using a camera and facial recognition software, maybe that has the potential for a big story? The reality is pretty cool, although its not like Milo needs to be buying health insurance or anything. The project Natal is certainly exciting, thats for sure.

I am glad to see that the Milo demo for Natal shown during E3 2009 was one of the most talked about moments of the expo, and I am curious to know what will be the end in this issue. Other than great video games, I like to use the electric griddle aluminum to cook nice pancakes and either watch tv or play a nice video game like bioshock.
