The popular and critically acclaimed Oddworld is finally making a return to consoles. Thanks to developer Just Add Water, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is getting the remake treatment for its debut to the PlayStation 3.
Unfortunately for Xbox 360 owners, the game has only been announced for the PS3 and is to be released to the PlayStation Network. It will join the PSOne releases Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus on PSN.
“Since word got out that we’ve been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumors circulating about what we’re working on,” says Stewart Gilray, managing director of Just Add Water. “Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.”
Just Add Water has worked closely with Oddworld creators Lorne Lanning and Sherry McKenna to ensure that the game lives up to fans’ expectations. Not only is the game received a slew of visual and technical upgrades, but Just Add Water promises that additional bonus material is well on the way.
