Nolan Bushnell, Dave Perry Presenting at [a]list summit

Posted July 27, 2010 by James Brightman

Our friends at The Ayzenberg Group and the[a]listdaily (which you can sign up for along with IndustryGamers on our right rail) have recently announced their confirmed speaker lineup for the third annual [a]list summit, which takes place August 4-6, at the Westin Verasa Napa in California.

Ayzenberg's chosen theme for this year's summit is CCCP, or "Content, Conversation, Conversion, Participation." The four elements of CCCP are all quite important to video game marketing, particularly in the social networking sphere.

The headline keynote for the [a]list summit will come from Atari founder Nolan Bushnell who recently came back to Atari to join the company's board. "From the early days of Atari and the beginnings of the videogame industry to revolutionary Chuck E. Cheese and back again to Atari, Nolan Bushnell has had a unique and amazing career. Hear the insights of a pioneer who remains a leading force in our industry," reads the event page.

Other key presentations will include David Perry's talk on Gaikai and cloud gaming, the ESRB's pointers on content approval, a discussion on 3D gaming, best practices for leveraging Facebook, how to sell digitally, and more.

Please check out the official [a]list summit page for further details.

At one point in history Nolan was among the most influential people in entertainment. Unfortunately he became irrelevant many years ago. Every venture he's had in the past 2 decades has failed, and now he's he back as a figurehead for the failure that is the current Atari.
I'm missing what he brings to the table, but then again I've never heard of whatever this conference is. I guess it is for sales people?

It's an invite-only marketing focused conference. Ayzenberg is an ad agency.
