Nintendo today officially announced that they will be manufacturing a larger version of the DSi. The console will be called the Nintendo DSi LL in Japan and Nintendo DSi XL in North America and Europe.
The DSi XL will feature two 4.2 inch screens, 93 percent larger than the current DS Lite. The system also boasts a longer touch screen stylus, pre-installed DSiWare software and "a better view angle."
The DSi XL will release in Japan on November 21, 2009, while the North American and European releases will occur in the first quarter of 2010. No pricing details were announced, but it is expected that the DSi XL will cost more than its smaller counterpart.

This is terrible. I saved a lot of money to get my original DSi, and now I have to spend it all over again just to get one with the large screens? I don't see why Nintendo is this desperate for money considering how they're making profit every time a Wii sells.
