Outspoken developer Tomonobu Itagaki left Tecmo in 2008 and sued his former company over unpaid bonuses, leading to a war of words with Tecmo president Yoshimi Yasuda, who has since left the company. Today, the former head of Team Ninja announced that his lawsuit with Tecmo has been settled “amicably.”
“To all of my fans: I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great help and words of encouragement which have been extended to me so far,” said Itagaki in a letter sent to 1UP. “I can hardly wait for the day of announcing my newest work in progress to you all, but I promise you now that I will deliver to you an enjoyable game with depth that surpasses all the games I created before, and is worthy of being world-class entertainment.”

I love his games(Ninja Gaiden and DOA series) but I also miss his ridiculous quotes, especially the ones where he made fun of other fighting game series, particularly Tekken.

Totally agree, he's quite the personality, always good for some wacky quote. And yes, I really like Ninja Gaiden too.

I liked his games, too, however I liked Micheal Jacksons music too. So that does not excuse his sexual bullying, and sexual harassment, and use of the bully pulpit against females. This neanderthal treatment of women is not excused. You should not have to sex a person or risk being the next tent person in Napal. So good luck to her, and also to him, he should just learn and have humility.

Right, nobody's making excuses for Itagaki's behavior, but his interviews were always hilarious.
