The new Pac-Man project underway by Marvel Producer Avi Arad has turned out to be a 3-D TV show that Arad hopes will be used to address multiple social issues, primarily racism.
"We feel we have a unique opportunity to have an action adventure, human interest story," Arad said at E3, according to Variety. "As a filmmaker, it's a unique opportunity to get to know the characters you play." Arad hopes to use Pac-Man to address multiple social concerns while dealing with who he is. "We don't know what happened to Pac-Man's parents," Arad stated. "He's the only yellow one in Pac-Land; what does that mean? Is it a social statement? We'll find out."
Apparently the ghosts of the series will also be transformed into new roles. The main “villains” in Pac-Man - Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde - will be helping Pac-Man as he defends Pac-World from other ghosts.
As for when the series will be making a debut, no word on the matter has come up. Avi Arad is best known for his work with the X-Men and Spider-Man films that have helped redefine the roll of the super hero in today’s slowing comics market.

That's a pretty dramatic change for a character that looks like a partially eaten pizza that only eats dots...
