Neversoft Making a New 'Action Shooter' Title

Posted June 9, 2010 by M.H. Williams

It seems companies can never have enough shooters. EA has Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, and Medal of Honor coming. Microsoft is bringing Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 to bear. Activision has Call of Duty: Black Ops, Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty title, and apparently something waiting in the wings from Neversoft.

Superannuation noted that Neversoft was currently looking for “experienced Level Builders to work on [a] new action shooter game” based on a LinkedIn posting. The posting goes on to say, “If you have a passion for design, and you can create realistic levels by bringing concept art to life, then we are looking for you.”

The posting gives no information as to what type of game Neversoft will be creating. Modern Warfare 3? Tony Hawk: Shoot? Gun Hero? Personally, our guess here at IndustryGamers is a new installment of Neversoft’s 2005 western game Gun, to capitalize on the recent success of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption.
