NBA 2K11 to Have Michael Jordan on the Cover

Posted June 3, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Today, 2K Sports announced that one of the greatest basketball players ever, Michael Jordan, will appear on the cover of NBA 2K11. The current majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, recent Hall of Fame inductee, fourteen-time time NBA All-Star and six-time NBA World Champion has lent his likeness to the franchise.

"It's an honor to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11," said Jordan. "I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I'm looking forward to getting back out onto the court, virtually. Let's hope they get my dunk from the foul line right."

2K Sports is excited to have the legendary player grace their latest and greatest NBA outing.

"Without a doubt, Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time and we're excited to partner with a living legend," said 2K Sports President of Product Development Greg Thomas. "Working with Jordan adds tremendously to our game and lets us do things with NBA 2K11 that we've never been able to do before."

NBA 2K11 will be available on October 5, 2010, the same month as its rebranded competitor NBA Elite 11.
