Naughty Dog Studios Reveals Last of Us

Posted December 10, 2011 by Ben Strauss

The first big reveal of the night at Spike's VGA comes from Uncharted developer, Naughty Dog.  The new game, Last of Us, showcased a post-apocalyptic world rife with zombie-like humanoids attacking two seemingly normal humans.  The game displayed a world already overgrown with vegetation, and hinted at the fact that the cataclysmic event took place perhaps a dozen years prior to the trailer.

The game seems to be an action-survival title, perhaps with RPG elements hinted at by the characters shown in the trailer.  No more information is available at this time, although it was revealed that a second, full-size team is working to make the game a reality.

Update: Naughty Dog vice president Christophe Balestra has confirmed via tweet that the trailer was rendered with the in-game engine.

Check out the trailer here.
