Move, 3D Discussed by Gran Turismo Creator

Posted April 6, 2010 by David Radd

Sony is very enthusiastic about both PlayStation Move and 3D, so it might seem natural for both technologies to be supported by Gran Turismo 5. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi indicates that his team is keeping an open mind when it comes to new technologies and Gran Turismo 5.

"We're always attuned to new technologies,” said Yamauchi to PSM3 [thanks CVG]. “If there are display devices or peripherals that seem interesting, I'm sure we'll work to support them."

It was previously thought that Gran Turismo 5 had already been confirmed to support 3D, but Yamauchi's comments would seem to indicate otherwise. That said, we do think it's likely, especially since the racing series is one of Sony's premiere franchises and would be a good fit to showcase what 3D can offer gamers.
