Monster Hunter has heretofore only released on one next-gen console: the Wii. That's going to change this year, however, as Capcom revealed its plans to publish Monster Hunter Frontier Online on both PC and Xbox 360 in Summer 2010, at least in Japan.
Additionally, Lost Planet 2 is set to release on May 18, 2010 and Super Street Fighter IV will come out on April 27, both in the U.S. Dead Rising 2, however, has been assigned a more vague “2010” release window.

I am very curious to see how well Monster Hunter sells on the 360. If it came here I don't think it would sell very well at all, but it's one of the Japanese franchises that they go gaga over in Japan. So now they have another game to buy for the 360, but the question is rather or not they will support it.

Indeed, though some are no doubt anticipating when a PS3 version may launch in Japan. And yeah, Monster Hunter hasn't really caught on here in the West and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I don't see it doing well in Japan either. The PSP versions may sell millions in Japan, but the console versions have not. The Wii one is the best selling console version, but even it has not cracked 1 million yet (it's about 960K).
