Mindscape today announced the launch of a new studio. Called Punchers Impact, this studio has 40 employees drawn from various EA studios and Free Radical Design.
”I am confident about the challenges that the team have taken on and I can’t wait to unveil our first project,” said studio director Guillaume Descamps.
Develop reports that the studio is working on a new digital download game for release on PS3, PC and Xbox 360. The studio opened its doors in October so that Mindscape could “open up new development channels.”
“It is very important for us to be involved at the heart of our industry by offering gamers the games they expect,” said Mindscape managing director Thierry Bensoussan. “By building a pool of creative talent within a single studio, we’re ensuring that Punchers Impact has solid financial foundations allowing it to focus on developing innovative projects.”
