Posted October 19, 2009 by James Brightman

With Microsoft's 343 Industries overseeing everything related to the Halo IP, the company today announced that fans will soon have one spot to get their fix for all things Halo. On November 5, Microsoft will launch Halo Waypoint as the official Halo destination, exclusively on Xbox Live.

Waypoint has been produced in collaboration with Certain Affinity and will provide gamers with "a diverse selection of unique and immersive content," including the latest Halo news and activities, access to interviews, trailers and screenshots, exclusive video footage and community content. Previews for the anticipated anime anthology Halo Legends will also be available exclusively on Halo Waypoint starting November 7.

Additionally, Halo Waypoint will provide Halo gamers with a new career system tied to in-game accomplishments across multiple Halo games, starting with Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3, Halo Wars and all add-on content for those titles.

The perfect destination for obsessive Halo fans everywhere

Although Halo Waypoint will be accessible for Xbox Live Silver members as a trial until November 26, following that time fans will have to be Gold subscribers to access Waypoint. The destination's content schedule can be seen here.
