Microsoft Honored with TV Innovation Award for Xbox 360

Posted January 11, 2012 by Ben Strauss

The annual TV Innovation Awards were held in Las Vegas on Monday, resulting in a big win for Microsoft and their new Xbox 360 TV setup.  The award recognized Microsoft’s increasing push into the overall entertainment industry through the Xbox 360 in the On Demand category.

With well over 40 announced partners and Kinect-enabled interactivity, the new Xbox TV system is looking to be a big success for the technology giant.  Microsoft has for some time discussed the Xbox not only as a gaming platform, but as an all-around entertainment venue.

The honor was given to Microsoft, who beat out thirteen others recognized in the same category.
