Microsoft: 'Halo Feature Film Remains on Hold'

Yesterday, a story by IESB reported that Steven Spielberg is considering signing on to help produce a Halo movie. When contacted by Kotaku, Microsoft indicated that they "nothing further to share with respect to plans regarding a Halo movie."

"We're glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm in the entertainment industry surrounding the idea of a Halo movie," said Microsoft to Kotaku. "That said, the Halo feature film remains on hold as we focus on projects like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach."

This Spielberg deal might go down, but it doesn't sound like anything concrete is going to appear for at least a couple more years.
