Microsoft today unveiled details for their Gamefest 2010 technology conference in Seattle. Taking place February 10 – 11, 2010 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, the event will include tracks for developing and designing games for Project Natal.
“Change is a fact of life in the fast-paced and dynamic business of making games, and Microsoft is right here with you on the cutting edge," reads the official webpage. "This year marks a historical movement in game creation as we disclose to you the latest technology details for ‘Project Natal,’ the technology Forrester principal analyst, Paul Jackson described as ‘taking things to the next extreme.’ You will hear first hand from the engineering teams on how we are progressing with 'Project Natal' and enjoy two full tracks on the latest development and design best practices."

Yes, Project Natal enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller through a natural user interface using gestures/full body movement. The word natal means "of or relating to birth", reflecting Microsoft's view of the project as "the birth of the next-generation of home entertainment"
