Metal Gear Solid: Rising Producer Gets Replaced

Posted November 17, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Earlier this week, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima told fans (via Andriasang) that the producer in charge of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Yuji Korekado, was now on Twitter.  This perplexed some astute fans, who noted that Rising’s producer was originally Shigenobu Matsuyama.

Last night, Kojima Productions producer Kenichiro Imaizumi confirmed via Twitter that Matsuyama had been replaced.  The former producer has reportedly been moved to another division, with no details given.

Korekado is also working on the Zone of the Enders HD Collection, an HD rerelease for Xbox 360 and PS3.  On the bright side, the change means that we may eventually get to play the game, which was originally announced during E3 2009.
