Konami Digital Entertainment announced today that Metal Gear Solid creator and Kojima Productions head Hideo Kojima has been promoted to vice president. His promotion is part of corporate reshuffling within the company, with other Konami vets also taking on new positions.
Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven producer Shinji Enomoto was also promoted to vice president. Mineaki Yoshiba, Yasuyuki Yamaji and Kazuyuki Kisohara have all been added to the board of directors, while Kazuhiko Nakanishi has been appointed as a standing corporate auditor.
Konami Corporate Officer Kazuhiko Uehera will be replacing Michihiro Ishizuka as CEO of Konami’s new acquisition Hudson Soft. Konami has already cut Hudson’s US division and cancelled some titles (via Andriasang) Hudson had planned for this year.
