Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ships 2 Million

Posted March 30, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Capcom has revealed that Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds has now shipped 2 million units worldwide - not bad for a series that last hit retail almost 11 years ago.  The newest iteration in the series was released mid-February worldwide.

"Capitalizing on the resurgence of the fighting game boom that began last year, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was able to exceed its predecessor and ship two million units worldwide," Capcom said in its press release.

Capcom has already released two packs of downloadable content for the game.  The first one released on March 1 added new costumes and modes, while the second released on March 15 added two new characters.
