LA Noire is out today, and judging by the first reviews gamers will have plenty to like about Rockstar's latest effort. Whether the title can match Red Dead Redemption or GTA on a commercial level remains to be seen, but Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia is optimistic that LA Noire will at least put up very solid numbers.
"We think the Street is expecting the title to sell 3 to 4 million units and so far the initial reviews seem to support this thinking. Our channel checks last week regarding pre-orders also indicated unit potential in the 3 to 4 million range," said Bhatia.
He also noted that LA Noire remains the top selling video game on Amazon.com this week, and both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions have been in the top 100 on Amazon for almost 2 months.
