Konami & Kojima Creating New Engine For An Unannounced Project

Posted June 3, 2011 by M.H. Williams

In a small interview during Konami’s pre-E3 teaser, Hideo Kojima showed off the company’s new Fox Engine for game development.  Taking a page from Capcom with its MT Framework, the Fox Engine is focused on easing multiplatform development and streamlining Konami’s current processes to allow for a shorter dev cycle.  The new shorter cycle is being tested with Konami's upcoming HD remakes of Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Zone of Enders for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Kojima would not reveal the new project he’s working on, but he did take gamers on a short tour of the engine via a quick demo.  The video is below, courtesy of IGN.
