Keiji Inafune Has a Brand New 'Comcept'

Posted December 15, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Like Shinji Mikami and Tomonobu Itagaki before him, Keiji Inafune has decided to blaze his own trail after leaving his long-time employer, Capcom. Though it remains unconfirmed, Silconera may have stumbled upon the name of Inafune’s new startup: Comcept.

A Japanese securities analyst met with Inafune in Tokyo and the two exchanged business cards. Inafune’s business card had the new company’s name on it. The analyst tweeted (in Japanese) about the entire exchange.

There’s been no confirmation from Inafune himself, but the names sound rather similar don’t they? Capcom, Comcept? Perhaps we’ll hear about the new company’s plans within the coming months.
