iPad Gets Peggle as Series Hits 30 Million Downloads

Posted August 25, 2011 by Ben Strauss

The newest studio under EA’s wing is churning out new titles, this time specifically for the iPad.  Peggle HD will be making its way to Apple’s popular iPad tablet.  An expansion pack has also been announced; Peggle Nights will be available as an in-game purchase at release.

The news of the new games comes at a milestone for PopCap, who is celebrating over 30 million downloads for the hit franchise.  Peggle originally made its debut in March 2007 for the PC.  Variations of the game have since made their way to mobile, iPod, XBL, PSN and other platforms.

Peggle HD will be available for download at $2.99 in the App Store, with the expansion running at $1.99.  That price is only good as an introductory offer, as prices will jump to $4.99 for the main game.  The expansion will remain at $1.99.
