iPad Game Developers Compared to Drug Dealers By Daily Show

Posted December 9, 2011 by James Brightman

iPad gaming is huge, and another sign of that is how it's already penetrated the cultural mainstream. Last night's episode of The Daily Show aired a great sketch called "Video Game Dealers" in which the dangers of free-to-play games were exposed.

The episode specifically called out Tap Fish by Gameview Studios. The game is free-to-play but like so many "free" games, to really maximize enjoyment an individual does need to purchase more in-game. That's exactly what one father's sons did, ultimately maxing out his credit card just on the purchases of virtual fish for the game.

Check out the sketch below, and if you're a parent with an iPad be careful!
