Back at GDC we sat down with InstantAction CEO Lou Castle, who demonstrated his company's exciting new gaming technology. The compelling aspect of InstantAction's technology is that its games will be totally embeddable on Facebook, blogs, and all sorts of websites, much like YouTube videos.
In the time since we met with Castle, Apple has launched its much talked about iPad tablet, which features a big bright screen perfectly suited for gaming applications and web browsing. Since browser-based games are InstantAction's focus, we couldn't help but wonder what the company might have planned for Apple's new product.
We followed up with Castle, who told us today, "Having actually tried an iPad I was surprised by how much I use it around the house and when traveling. The strength of dedicated iPad applications is the defining factor for the device's usefulness and presumed success. InstantAction will absolutely support the device with dedicated applications that bring a fresh approach to interactive media through the large touch screen and bright display."
We'll have more on InstantAction soon. Stay tuned.
