New reports of Hulu's expansion away from the PC keep coming. First, it was only the Xbox 360. Then, the iPad was added to the list of recipients. Now it looks like the PlayStation 3 is getting in on the fun.
Bloomberg reports that Sony is close to closing a deal to bring a Hulu subscription service to PlayStation Network. According to sources close to the deal, the service could be announced as early as next week. Spokespeople from Sony and Hulu declined to answer when reached for comment.
There do not seem to be any plans to bring the ad-supported Hulu service to any other markets, as all rumors of expansion seem to include a subscription fee. A subscription would put Hulu in direct competition with Netflix, which already offers streaming video content on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and iPad.

huh, so what happens if there are shows that are not public domain, but Hulu is putting on live and charging for a fee for live? Or even if Microsoft or Sony is paying Hulu directly for content. Will NBC/fox/Sony studios/Fox/etc.... decide they want a piece of the pie? Having ad's is one thing but having fees may give the networks rights to get a portion of the fee or stop the services. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know is there anyone that knows what would or could happen?
