Harmonix Believes Dance Central Is Possible With Move, Not on Wii

Posted June 23, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Dance Central stood out as one of Kinect 'killer apps' at E3. It proved that Kinect had more potential game applications than Microsoft’s presentation previously showed. Harmonix, however, has revealed that Dance Central might not stay exclusive to Microsoft’s console.

Harmonix co-founder Alex Rigopulos told Kotaku that his team was looking into the idea of bringing Dance Central over to the PlayStation 3 with the Move controller. Unfortunately, Rigopulos says the Wii must remain in the dark. He says its motion tracking does not collect enough data and track things in a manner that would make Dance Central possible.

It’s okay Wii gamers. There’s a new Just Dance coming your way.
