Halo Designer Joins Sucker Punch

Posted July 15, 2011 by Ben Strauss

A former designer for the Halo series has announced his move to Sucker Punch.  The designer yearned to move in with a smaller team, now that Bungie has grown rather heavy with employees over the past decade.

“I found a great team and a fantastic opportunity just across the street at Sucker Punch Productions,” Griesemer said during an interview with Joystiq. “It’s a smaller team, very collaborative, they’ve got enormous talent and they are very hungry.  They want to take it to the next level and are willing to put in the effort it will take to get there.”

Speaking of Bungie, Griesemer noted that "When Bungie and I parted ways, I didn’t really have a plan. I knew I wanted something different; I’m just not comfortable on an enormous team with a lot of process.  It’s creatively stifling.”

Griesemer didn't get into specifics on what he's working on at Sucker Punch, but it wouldn't surprise us if it turned out to be related to the Infamous franchise.
