Guitar Hero 6 has been known for some time now, but it seems like the previously unannounced Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock could be a re-titled Guitar Hero 6. Siliconera noticed the listing earlier today, and pointed out that the game will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii later this fall.
This will mark the 22nd game in the franchise overall, and possibly the 6th in the main sequence. Activision has been known to drop numbers in sequel names, but there is no confirmation on this being Guitar Hero 6 as of yet.
Guitar Hero has been rated as the 4th most popular game franchise in the world by Guinness recently, and Activision is no doubt hoping this game will make a splash back into the music genre, given the major slump in sales over the past year. There's no word on how well this game will perform, but analysts aren’t expecting a return to the glory days.
Those seem to be the only details about the game right now; a September 21st release and a price point at $59.99. The page also lists a guitar bundle and a ‘super-bundle’ (assume a microphone and drums for that pack) priced at $79.99 and $179.99, respectively.
