The popular PC MMO franchise Guild Wars will apparently be making a showing on the HD consoles, says NCsoft. The studio has confirmed that a “small development team” is hard at work to bring the game to consoles. Guild Wars 2 for the PC is set for a launch date later this year on the PC.
While no real specifics on a launch window was offered by the team, the studio is in “the preparation stage” for developing on unannounced consoles. The publisher did cite that the PC version of the game remains the main focus at this time.
Developer ArenaNet will hopefully be making the planned 2012 launch window for the highly anticipated game, and plans on bringing about a beta by late March.
