Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 is getting an “interactive” boost as a source close to Sony has confirmed to MCV that there will be 3D and Move capabilities included. The source explained that the game's delay was due to implementation of both 3D and Move compatibility.
Rumors of 3D capability for Gran Turismo 5 have been around since April, and it seems that those rumors are ringing true, as Killzone 3 has been confirmed for 3D also. Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo creator, also hinted at the idea of 3D just last month.
Sony has refused to comment on the matter, but they did state that GT5 would be getting “further details” announced at E3 in June.
As for a release schedule for Gran Turismo 5, there is still no firm date. The game had originally been on track to ship earlier this year but it looks like we will certainly be waiting a while longer. SCEA's SVP of Marketing Peter Dille believes that the PS3 will move ahead of the Xbox 360. Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 3 and PlayStation Move will certainly play a role in that, if it happens.
