God of War III Ultimate Edition Unveiled

Posted October 30, 2009 by David Radd

Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced a special release for their biggest game of 2010: God of War III. The collector's release God of War III Ultimate Edition will come in a replica of Pandora's Box and feature an art book, a documentary on the series history, downloadable music from the game trilogy and PSN exclusives in the God of War Combat Arena and a Kratos skin called "Dominus."

"The God of War franchise has an incredibly loyal fanbase and we know they will be extremely excited with all the exclusive content and memorabilia we've packed into God of War III Ultimate Edition," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing for SCEA. "With fans waiting patiently for the arrival of God of War III for the PS3, we wanted to make sure their anticipation was properly rewarded."

Those that pre-order the God of War III Ultimate Edition will received a PSN voucher code to download a demo of the game (notably, available starting today). Different retailers will convey different DLC skins including the "Phantom of Chaos" from GameStop.com, an "Apollo" skin Amazon.com and the "Forgotten Warrior" from GameCrazy.

The God of War III Ultimate Edition will retail for $99.99.

looks like one of the best "limited edition" versions to come out in a long time, prob wont get it myself cause its just a box at the end of the day.

It does indeed look very cool.

Like every other special edition I'm interested in, I will snag it once it goes on sale or makes the clearance pile.

That box is pretty hot, though the documentary actually interests me more than anything else.

I would have to agree, the documentary interests me more then anything. It's the documentary that makes me purchase the limited editions of games, not the extra content.

Although I must say that box looks damn cool.

this limited edition looks mint, bit pricey though.
