Gameloft Reaches 200 Million Downloads On App Store

Posted June 8, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Not content to let Chillingo have its day in the sun, Gameloft has announced that it has hit over 200 million downloads on the Apple App Store since launch.  The company’s strategy of making homages to other popular titles seems to be working out for them.

"We have been able to develop a truly massive fan base by offering high-quality games on the App Store," said Gonzague de Vallois, Senior VP of Publishing at Gameloft. "For millions of people worldwide, Gameloft is now synonymous with amazing gaming experiences on their iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. We are proud to be contributing to the major revolution on iOS while staying true to our values of quality and customer satisfaction.”

The company is planning more than 20 new titles for iOS this year.
