Gaikai's Dave Perry to Keynote EMA GamePlan Summit

Posted July 21, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Gaikai CEO David Perry will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) GamePlan Summit. Perry’s Gaikai game-streaming service is retailer- and publisher-focused, unlike its consumer-focused competitor, OnLive. He will provide insight into how retailers and publishers can use upcoming digital technology trends to reach more customers. The EMA GamePlan Summit will be held September 21-23 of this year in Chicago.

The Summit is a “high-level industry-only” conference for large-scale retailers and publishers to network and plan for the coming year. The intention is to replace multiple months of sales tours into three days of consolidated retailer-supplier communication. The Summit is focused on and designed by the major retailers in the industry.

“Retailers and publishers are looking to implement digital strategies that will position them for the future,” Perry noted. “Gaikai will be part of that future and I’m looking forward to sharing our vision.”

“GamePlan Summit is privileged to welcome David Perry as our keynote speaker,” said Bo Andersen, President & CEO of EMA. “As a popular game developer, innovative publisher, and leading industry consultant, David has a wealth of experience and perspectives to share with the GamePlan audience.”
