Gaikai Nominated As One Of Dow Jones VentureWire's '50 Start-Ups To Watch'

Dow Jones VentureWire recently examined numerous technology start-ups to see who might prosper during such a poor economic climate, and chose 50 of them as promising ones to watch in the future. Dave Perry’s Gaikai, the publisher-centric cloud streaming service, is one of the few gaming-related start-ups on the list.

Other gaming-related nominees include Aurora Feint, who creates mobile game platforms for easy development; Tiny Speck, the developer of the browser MMO Glitch; gWallet, a fledging virtual currency monetization service; and Zong, a online payment system that allows gamers to make payments that will be processed by wireless carriers instead of banks.

The nominees were chosen by a panel of 10 seasoned venture capitalists, who gave reviews of those they felt were the most promising. The VentureWire editorial team then trimmed the list down to 50. All nominees have been invited to present at VentureWire’s FASTech conference in Redwood City, CA on November 3-4.
