The PS3 and Valve Software have a checkered past, with Gabe Newell having said, "you're not going to gain anything except a hatred of the architecture they've created" and Left 4 Dead 2 project lead Tom Leonard more recently saying that "obscure architectural decisions" are the reason the developer doesn't work on the PS3. Speaking to GTTV host Geoff Keighley, Newell indicated that his attitude has not changed [thanks Kotaku].
When asked by Keighley if Valve was working on the PS3 in an attempt to get more familiar with the architecture, Newell responded, "Uh, no. Not in any real way."
Even if Valve never decides to take up programming PS3 games themselves, it'd be nice if they found a good partner to port their games to the system, as we're certain PS3 owners would love to play games like Left 4 Dead.

Valve makes some good games but come on Valve! Nut up and learn something new. Quit whining and make some games for me to buy. Technology is not always gonna be easy. I'm sure they could do it but it sounds like they lack the testicular fortitude to do it.
