Twentieth Century Fox today announced the appointment of Andre Emerson as Vice President of Video Game Production. This newly created role will see Emerson heading up the production of "Fox’s extensive portfolio of video game projects based on its popular TV and film library."
“Andre has a phenomenal background in video game production with a fair balance of licensing experience that will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to our team. We’re looking forward to Andre contributing his development expertise as we expand our presence in this space,” said Gary Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President of New Media, Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox Licensing).
Emerson has over 15 years of experience in production management and creative design and is known most recently for the 50 Cent franchise, which he created, produced and directed as the Vice President and Executive Producer at Vivendi Games. The 50 Cent game has sold over 2.5 million copies. Emerson also played a role in the creation/production of WET, starring Eliza Dushku from the TV series Dollhouse. Most recently, Emerson served as President and CEO of Bad Butterz Productions, an independent videogame consulting firm represented by Creative Artists Agency. In the past (prior to Vivendi), Emerson created the Dead to Rights franchise, which sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.
