2008 marked an announcement that forever changed the way gamers played Final Fantasy. Square Enix confirmed that FFXIII would indeed be coming to the Xbox 360 in all regions, save for Japan.
August 2008 also had Microsoft Taiwan’s Grace Chou confirming that an Asian Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII would be released in Taiwan. This caused the Japanese console base of 360 owners to get excited over the possibility that a version of the game might be coming to their shores.
Unfortunately, Square Enix continued to claim that Final Fantasy in Japan would remain PlayStation 3 exclusive.
Today, that all has changed as Japanese game magazine Dengeki has revealed that Final Fantasy XIII will finally be coming to the Xbox 360 in Japan.
The game is set for release on December 16, a year after it was released to the PS3. The game is to be titled “Final Fantasy Ultimate Hits International.” This news comes after years of Square Enix repeatedly denying that Final Fantasy XIII would come to the Xbox 360 in Japan.

Better late than never I suppose. They really need to add in some kind of extra playable content for all the Japanese gamers who had to wait for it for so long. That in turn could also cause people who already own it to buy the 360 version for the newer content.

It will have an Easy Mode and an English voice option (like a lot of 'International' releases by SE in Japan). Considering that SE flat out denied that an Xbox 360 version was coming for so long (aka, anyone who wanted the game didn't wait) and that this version will probably also come to the PS3 in the long run, I don't think this will have a huge impact.

All I want is Kingdom Hearts 3.
