Fallout Publisher Bethesda Expands in Europe

ZeniMax Media owned Bethesda Softworks, which publishes titles from both Bethesda Game Studios and id Software, announced today that it's opened two new offices: one in Frankfurt, Germany and another in Paris, France. These two new locations will "directly oversee sales and marketing in their respective territories, underscoring Bethesda Softworks’ commitment to its global publishing operations."

Bethesda also appointed two new territory General Managers for these offices. Frank Matzke will serve as Managing Director, Germany and Julie Chalmette joins the company as Managing Director, France. Matzke was previously Vice President, Europe at Sierra Entertainment and Marketing Director, Central Europe at Vivendi Games, while Chalmette had worked as General Manager for Vivendi Games France.

“The opening of offices in Frankfurt and Paris is a very exciting moment for Bethesda Softworks. We have an incredible roster of upcoming AAA games including Fallout: New VegasHunted: The Demon’s ForgeBrink and RAGE,” said Sean Brennan, Managing Director, Bethesda Softworks Europe. “Frank and Julie’s extensive knowledge of their territories will help us to maximise and deliver upon these titles’ potential.”

In addition to these new locations and its headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, Bethesda has international offices located in London and Tokyo.
