Facebook's Call to Action

Posted January 19, 2012 by David Radd

Facebook recently unveiled a number of new partners for their new initiative called Facebook Actions. This new activity will define people's relationships with products, brand and also with games.

The advantage of Facebook Actions is that it will establish this data between users and the things they 'like'. This semantic metric is a goldmine for the company because of how potentially valuable it is to brands.

Over 60 partners have launched Actions-enabled apps already, including Zynga with Words With Friends, and CastleVille and Wooga with Diamond Dash, and Bubble Island. “The call to developers is to start your engines,” said Facebook exec Carl Sjogreen [thanks VentureBeat]. “We’re excited to see what you’re going to build.”
