Facebook Changes Game Discovery Again

Posted January 31, 2012 by David Radd

Facebook has announced that it has changed the way “discovery” of games occurs. Now, it groups a list of games friends are playing into a single post to be more readily identifiable.

"These stories are designed to bring new users and significant re-engagement to games by encouraging users to discover games their friends are playing," said Facebook's business development director Matt Wyndowe in a blog post. "We will continue to refine the design of these stories based on performance."

The site is also allowing players to add their favorite games and game related data into their Timeline. They also note that their live ticker might be removed, and they mentioned that the App Profile Pages will be discontinued.
