Fable III Announcements Will 'Really Upset People,' says Molyneux

Posted February 9, 2010 by David Radd

The Fable series elicits a wide range of reactions from gamers, ranging from praise for the titles as fun action/RPGs or derisive epithets describing the games as disappointing graveyards for the ambitious promises from designer Peter Molyneux. This time around, however, Molyneux is taking a different approach by declaring that parts of Fable III will actually anger people.

"We're making some announcements about Fable III and there's some very, very big things happening in Fable, bigger than you think... and it's going to really upset people,” said Molyneux to Gamereactor [thanks 1UP]. "I'm really scared when I go out and tell people what it is they're going to get super pissed off, they really are. But it's the right thing to do man, I'm sure it's the right thing to do."

Based on historic performance I've got to take everything that Molyneux says with a massive grain of salt... He manages ot hype everything out of proportion to the point that he disappoints everyone. Given that, I'm predicting that the announcements WILL probably piss people off but when release date comes around they won't pan out at all or they'll be woefully (or, in this case, pleasantly I guess) overstated.

Maybe the announcement will be that there won't be a golden trail that holds your hand throughout the entire game this time, that would piss some people off, I'm sure.
