Fable 3 Tops U.K. Sales Charts

Posted November 1, 2010 by James Brightman

It'll be a while before we know how Lionhead's Fable III has sold in North America, but in the U.K. Chart-Track has revealed that Peter Molyneux's newest RPG is doing very well for itself.

The Xbox 360 game took first place in its debut week, knocking the previous number one, Fallout: New Vegas, to the third spot. Chart-Track indicated that the Fable III outsold the launch week of Fable II by around 6,000 units "making it the 13th biggest Xbox 360 launch ever and the 4th biggest Xbox 360 launch of 2010."

Interestingly, in a sign of the Xbox 360's momentum in the U.K., Chart-Track also pointed out that Fable III is "Microsoft’s 3rd All Formats No1 so far in 2010 (after Crackdown 2 and Halo: Reach). There was only 1 Microsoft title last year that reached No1 in the All Formats Chart (Halo 3: ODST)."
