It had been hinted at before, but now it's confirmed: Fable 3 will feature support for Project Natal. A tweet from Gamesbrief founder Nicholas Lovell first revealed the news from Peter Molyneux's speech at BAFTA in London; it was then confirmed by Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley in another tweet.
Considering that Molyneux has been a big supporter of Natal with Milo and that Lionhead is a part of the Microsoft Game Studios system, this doesn't come as a big surprise. We're just curious to see exactly how Fable 3 will make use of the controller-free camera system.
Additionally, from the same BAFTA speech, Molyneux also talked about including micro-transactions in Fable 3, as reported by That VideoGame Blog. The game will apparently feature an in-game shop in which additional items such as swords or more expensive content such as new areas/game environments can be purchased. Rather than having gamers exit Fable 3 to download content on Xbox Live Marketplace, the store will be present in the game itself where players won't have to disrupt the game. Molyneux even said Lionhead's considering selling GameFAQs style walkthroughs in the store, but that's not confirmed just yet. The team is throwing around numerous ideas.
