Eurogamer Expo Attended by 34,500

Posted September 26, 2011 by David Radd

The Eurogamer Expo saw 34,500 attendees that included 2,000 press and industry figures, a record for the event. Plans are already being made for a 2012 edition of the Expo, set to take place September 27-30 next year.

"This year's Eurogamer Expo was a massive success," said Eurogamer co-founder and MD Rupert Loman. "The response we've had from the gaming community and the games industry has been incredibly positive. The event has grown very quickly but the great thing is that the show has such a brilliant and welcoming atmosphere. We're looking forward to sharing more details on the 2012 show soon."

BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk were both on hand to present Star Wars: The Old Republic, and reveal the launch date. IndustryGamers had a chance to talk with the pair, and we'll be posting the interview very soon.

Disclosure: IndustryGamers is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Eurogamer Network.
