Epic iOS Hit Infinity Blade Tops $11 Million

Posted July 7, 2011 by James Brightman

Epic continues to be a huge supporter of Apple's iOS marketplace - in fact, Epic VP Mark Rein was quoted in the announcement about the App Store reaching 15 billion downloads. Epic and its developer Chair Entertainment have certainly benefited from Apple's ecosystem. Today, Epic confirmed that the hit title Infinity Blade has passed $11 million in sales in just six months.

It was only a month ago that Epic and Chair announced that the game had reached $10 million in revenues, so iOS gamers on iPhone and iPad are continuing to download the sword slashing game.

Epic is also expanding the audience for the franchise by making a special free-to-play version for the Japanese market.
