Emergent Game Tech's Q1 2010 Results Show Robust Expansion

Posted May 10, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Today, Emergent Game Technologies, a leading 3D game engine and tools company, announced their profits for the first quarter of 2010. Similar to the quarter ending on December 31, 2009, the company delivered another strong quarter that “exceeded financial expectations.” The company noted strong growth in the North American and Asian markets, with increased expansion in all territories.

“I stand behind my previous comments that 2010 will be a record year for Emergent. Developers have confidence in our technology, and this has been validated by the number of companies signing deals to begin development on LightSpeed,” said Emergent CEO Scott M. Johnson.  “Emergent is comprised of driven people and the company is hitting on all cylinders right now.  Expect big things from Emergent as we make additional moves to solidify a leadership position.”

These results follow Emergent’s restructuring drive, which included the appointment of Johnson to the CEO position earlier this year. Emergent’s game development tools, most notably the Gamebryo Lightspeed engine, have been used in over 300 successful projects, including Fallout 3, Civilization Revolution, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Warhammer Online, Divinity II, and Bully.
