Two new games from EA Sports are looking to draw in fans of NFL and boxing, as today’s press conference from EA unveiled two new games from the sports division. Fight Night Champion and Active NFL Training Camp will present a “new standard in visual presentation.”
“The EA SPORTS Fight Night franchise has consistently delivered one of the best sports experiences with each iteration”, said Andrew Wilson, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Development, EA SPORTS. “EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4 was a genre defining game, and led the way as the industry transitioned to physics-based sports games. EA SPORTS Fight Night Champion will again forge new ground and deliver a sports experience unlike anything seen in the genre to date.”
EA boasts that a refined physics engine, new moves and a new visual presentation will “truly convey the brutality of the sport of boxing.”
As for Active NFL Training Camp, “EA SPORTS Active NFL Training Camp delivers an authentic NFL experience that is fun and engaging, while providing a challenging workout,” says Wilson. “It exemplifies our commitment to both NFL football and the fitness space, as well as delivering new experiences for new audiences.”
The new Active NFL Training Camp will encourage gamers to run through drills and even participate in the NFL Combine 60-Day Challenge. Training Camp will be a spirited blend of fitness and sports, one that should appeal to the large number of Madden fans... if they actually want to get off the couch.
“We’re excited to be collaborating with EA SPORTS on the development of EA SPORTS Active NFL Training Camp,” says Ray Anderson, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. “EA SPORTS Active NFL Training Camp delivers a fantastic new and authentic experience for NFL fans, allowing them to train like the pros and compete against their friends, family, and other fans across the globe.”
Fight Night Champion will be available in 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3; Active NFL Training Camp will be available November 16 for the Kinect on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and iPod Touch.
