The former head of EA Sports has been acknowledged for his work in the marketing of sports with a Lifetime Achievement Award. EA COO Peter Moore will be awarded at this year’s PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing Awards to be held in New York on November 15.
The award is in gratitude for Moore’s service to EA Sports, where he helped bring more to such franchises as Madden NFL, FIFA and others. His experience in marketing, spanning 25 years, includes work at Sega of America as well as Reebok, eventually landing him at EA in 2007. His work was essential in moving Xbox consoles into homes everywhere as the VP of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment division.
The awards ceremony will also see Moore give the keynote address, in which he will discuss new media marketing avenues centered on sports marketing. The address will take place at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.
